Where You Can Host Your Files

Post your heART is not a file host for word, art, music, or video files for legal reasons. We encourage users to post their work on external websites and share the links to those works on our boards.

The reason we do not host media files on our website is because users typically have accounts with other sharing services such as YouTube or deviantART where their work has already been copyrighted. If users copyright the actual media file AGAIN on our website, we could be in violation of those website's copyright laws.

Therefore, we sponsor SAFE websites where users can upload and copyright their media files. Once the files have been uploaded, the links to them can be shared on the boards.

However, you may post your art pieces to the official Post Your heART Facebook Group. The link to the Facebook group can be found here: www.facebook.com/groups/PostYourheART

Also, Imgur's great for image hosting, Mega's great for things like WPD, DOCX files and the like and Clyp's great for posting sound files. Since they're all free and really easy to use that makes it even better!

Mega's a free file hosting site where you can upload things like doc files, among other things.

You can create a free login there. It's nice because they have extra security features to protect your account.

Clyp's a free audio hosting site that will also let you create an account and host your MP3, WAV and other sound files. I like it because whenever you post a link to your work it opens and starts playing automatically when someone clicks on it. Clyp also has the feature of letting you record things right there on the site.

That's what I usually do on FIM. Unfortunatley that tends to be ignored. Do you still have a link to the Writer's Resource group? That's where a ton of links are. You could probably get a bunch from there.
